Hadi: We will co-operate with DAP
MARANG: PAS will continue its co-operation with DAP and other opposition parties in the Barisan Alternatif despite the big defeats suffered by DAP in the recent general election, its deputy president Abdul Hadi Awang said.
He said PAS had no intention of withdrawing its co-operation with DAP and other opposition parties because the Barisan Alternatif had proved to be a strong opposition coalition.
Hadi, who was recently appointed Mentri Besar of Terengganu after the party swept 28 out of 32 state seats, said that he would also meet with DAP leaders to brief them on PAS' plans to implement Islamic laws in the state.
He said the move to implement Islamic administration in Terengganu was to fulfil its promises contained in its separate manifesto for the state.
"This has been agreed to by all parties, including DAP," he said.
