The Taman Seri Gombak Gerakan branch party members will go on a nationwide campaign to call on Indian members to resign from the party. Its youth chief A. Marthanden said they were upset with Gerakan president Dr Lim Keng Yaik who had not allocated even a single seat in the general elections for any Indian member.
He said they felt that Dr Lim had not considered the feelings of Gerakan's Indians when choosing candidates.
He said the branch officials had started collecting signatures among Indians in a showdown against Dr Lim.
"The Indians are very disturbed with the Gerakan leadership's attitude towards them," claimed Marthanden yesterday.
